Certified Organic
When we say all natural and organic, we mean it. Since 1982 Soaring Heart Natural Bed Company has been making mattresses and bedding using time-tested techniques, honed and polished over three decades. Soaring Heart makes everything by hand and uses only the highest quality, certified organic, materials available.
Soaring Heart works closely with our suppliers. We travel to their operations, getting to know them and their materials. We collaborate with our suppliers so we can meet and exceed our exacting standards. We take huge pride in our products and in all the people behind them.
It's because of these special relationships with our suppliers and their wonderful organic wool, organic latex, organic cotton and their commitment to upholding organic certifications that we aren’t forced to spoil our products with chemicals or synthetics. No Soaring Heart product has any chemical-based foam or synthetic fire retardants whatsoever.
Our latex is made from pure rubber tree sap. We use organic wool as our fire barrier, and it is selected from only the finest sheep farms in New Zealand. Our cotton is 100% organically grown in the cotton fields of Texas. Nothing but good, honest organic materials provided by good, honest people.
We are very proud that our latex used in mattresses, pillows and more is >95% organic; GOLS certified.
Does the mattress need to be on a slatted frame?
Our 100% Dunlop Latex Mattress needs air circulation. Whether that is in the form of a slatted frame/ foundation or Tatami Mats, we ask that you keep the mattress off the floor and prevent it from getting wet and staying wet.
How long does the mattress usually last?
Not only is Dunlop latex extremely resilient and flexible, it is also designed to be sturdy for long periods of time. Most of our mattresses really do last for 20+ years without taking an impression and customers are overjoyed with their purchase.
When you say “Firm”, what does that exactly mean?
Our Firm Latex Mattress has an ILD range (Indentation Load Deflection) of 28-32. This is the industry standard for a Firm Mattress. Most average size adults find the Extra Firm Mattress to be too firm and the Soft to have too much of a sinking feeling which is why suggest adding a topper to the mattress to find your perfect comfort zone.

Care
Caring for a Soaring Heart Organic Latex Mattress is easy.
- Keep your mattress on a slatted bed frame off the ground. This provides proper ventilation, stopping moisture buildup.
- Flip your mattress every 3 to 6 months.
- Always use a mattress pad. The mattress pad protects the mattress from body moisture, spills and accidents. You can clean a mattress pad, you can't clean a mattress.
Warranty
Soaring Heart warrants its latex mattress against defects in materials and workmanship for 20 years from the original date of purchase, for the original purchaser. The warranty applies in full when you buy through Motion Theory Labs, provided Soaring Heart's setup and care instructions are followed.
- Years 1 to 10: non-prorated. Soaring Heart repairs or replaces the mattress at its option, with shipping and transportation at the owner's cost.
- Years 11 to 20: prorated at 1/20 of the original purchase price per year of use.
- Cover fabric: two years against structural defects.
To qualify, you must use an approved natural mattress protector, keep proof of purchase, leave the law label and trade labels intact, flip and rotate the mattress regularly, and keep it free of stains, soiling and tears. On a slat foundation the slats must be 1 to 3 in apart. Normal body impressions of 1.5 in or less, firmness preference, stains and burns are not covered.
Soaring Heart Shipping, Delivery & Returns
Our standard Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy cover this product. Because it is handmade to order, Soaring Heart sets some terms that differ from those, and where they differ, the terms below govern.
Delivery
- Each mattress is made by hand after you order. Allow 4 to 5 weeks before it ships, then transit time.
- Ships from Washington within the continental United States.
- Inspect the packaging on arrival. If you see rips or other shipping damage, describe it on the delivery receipt before you sign, ask the driver to sign it, and contact us right away.
Cancellations and returns
- Contact Motion Theory Labs before your order ships if you need to cancel.
- Returns must be requested within 30 days of the ship date. The mattress must be unused and in its original packaging, and a return authorization is required before anything is sent back.
- Approved returns are subject to our 25% restocking fee.
- Soaring Heart's 30-Day Mattress Comfort Guarantee is an exchange program for purchases made directly from Soaring Heart. It is not included with this listing.
Our Shipping Policy
All orders ship via the method best suited to the size and weight of the product. Smaller items ship via standard parcel carriers. Large items such as saunas and fitness equipment ship via LTL freight and require a scheduled delivery appointment.
- Free shipping on every order in the Continental U.S. (excludes AK/HI), including freight delivery on large equipment. Nothing is added at checkout
- Freight deliveries are curbside unless otherwise noted
- You will be contacted to schedule a delivery appointment for freight orders
- Inspect all items carefully upon delivery before signing. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves — failure to note damage at delivery may affect your ability to file a claim

Our Return Policy
We stand behind the products we carry and want you to be confident in every purchase.
- Most items are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery in original, unopened condition, less a 25% restocking fee
- Large freight items (saunas, fitness equipment) must be unopened and in original packaging to be eligible for return. A 25% restocking fee applies to all approved returns, and you pay return shipping, including freight. Once opened, they are not eligible for return or refund.

- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or defective
