Sleep/Sleep Systems

Sleep Systems

Bed temperature systems that heat or cool the mattress you already own: a pad on the bed, a unit at the bedside, one zone or two. Nothing is replaced or installed.

Common Questions

Before You Choose

Will It Cool the Bedroom

No. A sleep system changes the temperature of the bed surface, not the air, by circulating chilled or warmed water through a pad on your mattress. That is also why it draws far less power than air conditioning. If the room itself is uncomfortable, it does not replace climate control.

One Zone or Two

One zone sets one temperature for the whole pad. Two zones give each half of the bed its own control, so two sleepers who disagree do not have to compromise. The systems we carry run from 55°F up to 115°F or 118°F, so check both ends of the range if you want heat as well as cooling.

How Loud Is the Control Unit

It runs next to your head all night, so ask for a decibel figure and the setting it was measured at. Perfect Sleep Pad publishes 40 dBA. Plan a flat spot and an outlet within hose reach on each sleeper’s side, and check that the hose has slack through an adjustable base’s full range.

How Is the Warranty Split

The control unit and the pad can be covered separately, and the pad, the part you lie on every night, can carry a much shorter term. On one system we carry it is two years for the unit and 90 days for the pad. Read the warranty by component before you compare prices.
