Common Questions

Before You Choose

Hybrid or Latex

A hybrid has individually wrapped coils under foam or latex comfort layers and feels responsive, with a reinforced edge. A latex mattress is one dense slab of Dunlop latex with no coils and no foam, supportive with a little spring, and heavier. Decide which build you want, then compare feel, trial and warranty within it.

Which Feel Is Right for Me

Side sleepers usually want plush or medium, because the shoulder and hip sink in. Back and stomach sleepers usually want medium or firm. A heavier sleeper sinks further, so a medium reads softer. Two sleepers who disagree can order a split feel on the hybrids we carry, or two twin XLs on one base.

What Base Does It Need

Every mattress warranty has a support condition. The latex mattress we carry must sit off the floor on slats one to three inches apart so air moves under it. Hybrids take a platform, slats or a box spring. Buy the base to the warranty, not the other way around, and confirm adjustable-base compatibility before you order.

Does the Sleep Trial Apply When I Buy Here

Not always. Some makers write their trials for purchases made directly from them, and the product page says which applies. When the maker’s trial does not, our return policy covers you: 30 days, unused and in original packaging, with a 25 percent restocking fee and return shipping at your cost.
