Review Summary

What People Like

5.08 online ratings

Aggregated from published reviews across the web, so the rating reflects every buyer, not just Motion Theory Labs customers.

Users find the Studio Eco Pilates Reformer to be a high-quality, studio-grade machine that is surprisingly quiet and smooth, making it an excellent option for both home and studio use. Its elegant design, eco-friendly materials, and robust construction are frequently praised, with many noting its resemblance to more expensive models. The inclusion of accessories like the jump board and box, along with its six-spring resistance system, are highlighted as significant value adds. It's also noted for being a solid investment for health and fitness, offering functionality without sacrificing space, especially for those in smaller living areas.

Pros
  • Smooth & QuietThe carriage glides smoothly and silently, providing a seamless workout experience.
  • Studio QualityOffers performance and construction comparable to high-end studio reformers at a more accessible price point.
  • Eco-Friendly DesignConstructed with sustainable, FSC-certified materials and low-impact finishes, appealing to environmentally conscious buyers.
  • Valuable AccessoriesOften includes essential accessories like a jump board and box, which are typically sold separately.
  • Space-SavingIts foldable design makes it ideal for apartments and smaller homes, easily stored when not in use.
  • Durable ConstructionFeatures a sturdy frame (often wood and steel/aluminum hybrid) and high-quality components like ABEC-7 bearings and commercial springs, ensuring longevity.
Cons
  • Folding MechanismWhile it folds for storage, some early designs or users may find the folding mechanism itself a point of concern or initial apprehension, though it's generally reported as easy once learned.
  • WeightAs a foldable model designed for stability, it can be slightly heavier than non-folding alternatives due to the added hinges and locking systems.
  • Commercial CertificationSome foldable models may not be officially certified for commercial use, which could be a consideration for studio owners.
  • Shipping TimeDelivery times can be extensive, with some customers noting wait times of 12-16 weeks.
Included With Every Freight Delivery

A Post-Delivery Call

Freight is not parcel delivery. The window to report damage is short, often 24 to 48 hours from the moment you sign, and on some products transit damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty at all. The exact terms for this product are in the Shipping and Delivery section below.

That Window Is Why We Do Two Things Rather Than One

What We Send, and What the Call Covers

When your order ships, we send you a written inspection guide. How many boxes to expect, what it should look like coming off the truck, what to photograph, and what to note on the delivery receipt before you sign. A clean signature on a damaged shipment is what makes a claim hard to win, and you are entitled to refuse a damaged delivery, which is worth deciding before delivery day rather than with a driver waiting.

After it arrives, we call you. We schedule that call inside the reporting window rather than whenever is convenient, because once the window closes there is nothing left to do. It covers three things:

  1. That it arrived, and arrived intact. We go through what came off the truck and what you found when you checked it.
  2. Anything that did not. If there is damage, we take it from there. What to photograph, what to file, and we deal with the carrier.
  3. Who to contact for what. Warranty claims go directly to the manufacturer and we give you the name. Anything to do with delivery, freight, or damage in transit comes to us and we handle it.

Ten to fifteen minutes depending on what we find, included on every freight order. We schedule it, you do not have to chase us.
