The Golden Designs Zurich is a four-person traditional barrel sauna, and the barrel shape is doing real work rather than just looking the part. A cylinder gives you maximum usable bench space with the least wasted cubic footage above your head, which means the cabin gets to temperature faster and holds it with less energy than a square room of the same seating capacity.

A 6.0 kW stove with built-in controls runs the traditional 170°F to 185°F range and will push to 190°F. Pacific Premium Cedar construction throughout, a bronze privacy tempered glass door, an interior backrest with accent lighting, and the traditional accessory kit — sandglass, bucket, and scoop.

Warranty

Outdoor saunas are covered under a different Golden Designs warranty than the indoor infrared line, and the stove is handled separately. Worth reading in full.

• 5 years on the wood structure when properly maintained, plus the control panel, applicable control panel harnesses, and lights
• The stove is covered under its own manufacturer's warranty, not the Golden Designs sauna warranty. Keep the stove documentation that ships with the cabin.
• Proof of purchase is required. Your sales receipt showing the date of purchase is your proof. No separate registration card is mandatory for coverage.
• Residential use. Full commercial use is excluded and voids coverage.
• Weather protection is a condition of coverage. Outdoor installations not protected safely from weather elements are excluded. Maintain the exterior finish.
• What is excluded: normal wear and weathering, modifications or repairs by non-authorized personnel, defaced or removed serial numbers, and moisture or water seepage — which the warranty notes is normal behavior for an outdoor cabin rather than a defect.

Defective parts are returned to Golden Designs at their discretion, and the warranty covers parts rather than labor.

Golden Designs Shipping, Delivery & Returns

Our standard Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy cover this product. Because it ships by freight rather than parcel, Golden Designs sets some terms that differ from those, and where they differ, the terms below govern.

Delivery

• Curbside delivery only, with free lift gate service throughout the continental United States. The driver brings the pallet to the curb and no further. If you do not have a curb, live on a dirt road, or have a driveway an 18-wheeler cannot access, you may need to meet the driver at the nearest accessible point or pay additional delivery fees.
• Plan the move from curb to pad before you order. The longest box is 72 inches and the shipment weighs 695 lbs. Confirm the route, and confirm your foundation or pad is ready and level — a barrel needs level cradles.
• Book the electrician before delivery. This sauna needs two separate circuits. Confirm your panel has the capacity for both.
• Transit time: ships within 24 to 48 hours of order and payment authorization, then 7 to 14 days in transit. The carrier calls you to schedule an appointment, typically 8am to 12pm or 12pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday.
• You have 2 business days to accept delivery once the sauna reaches your local terminal. After that, storage runs $100 per day.

Inspection, and your right to refuse

• A signature is required. Inspect every carton and note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign it. Signing a clean receipt for a damaged pallet is the one thing that makes a claim hard to win.
• All sauna boxes are delivered standing up. If they arrive lying flat on the pallet, the sauna was dropped. Check for exposed or damaged wood.
• You are entitled to refuse damaged freight. If it is obvious the sauna inside has been damaged or crushed, refuse the shipment outright. If you see damage but choose to accept anyway, describe it on the delivery receipt in detail — holes, dropped, tilted, not upright, ripped boxes, pressure damage.
• Open the boxes and report hidden damage within 48 hours, with photographs, to support@motiontheorylabs.com. We handle the claim with Golden Designs from there. Same 48-hour window as our standard policy, but on a freight pallet it means opening cartons rather than just looking at the outside.

Cancellations and returns

• Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of purchase. Shorter than our general policy, because Golden Designs releases freight quickly. After 24 hours a cancellation is treated as a return.
• Return freight is charged both ways, and the inbound leg is billed at 120% of the outbound cost, on top of our standard restocking fee. On a 695 lb freight item that is a significant number, so please be confident before ordering.
• Damaged or defective on arrival is not a return. It runs through the freight damage process above, or the warranty process, depending on what happened. Both are faster and neither costs you anything.
