Since 1982 Soaring Heart Natural Bed Company has been making mattresses and bedding using time-tested techniques, honed and polished over three decades. Soaring Heart makes everything by hand and uses only the highest quality, certified organic, materials available.

Soaring Heart works closely with our suppliers. We travel to their operations, getting to know them and their materials. We collaborate with our suppliers so we can meet and exceed our exacting standards. We take huge pride in our products and in all the people behind them.

It's because of these special relationships with our suppliers and their wonderful organic wool, organic latex, organic cotton and their commitment to upholding organic certifications that we aren’t forced to spoil our products with chemicals or synthetics. No Soaring Heart product has any chemical-based foam or synthetic fire retardants whatsoever.

Our latex is made from pure rubber tree sap. We use organic wool as our fire barrier, and it is selected from only the finest sheep farms in New Zealand. Our cotton is 100% organically grown in the cotton fields of Texas. Nothing but good, honest organic materials provided by good, honest people.

We are very proud that our latex used in mattresses, pillows and more is >95% organic; GOLS certified.

Does the mattress need to be on a slatted frame?

Our 100% Dunlop Latex Mattress needs air circulation. Most of our mattresses really do last for 20+ years without taking an impression and customers are overjoyed with their purchase.

When you say “Firm”, what does that exactly mean?

Our Firm Latex Mattress has an ILD range (Indentation Load Deflection) of 28-32. This is the industry standard for a Firm Mattress. Most average size adults find the Extra Firm Mattress to be too firm and the Soft to have too much of a sinking feeling which is why suggest adding a topper to the mattress to find your perfect comfort zone.

Specifications

Thickness

6 in

Twin

39 x 75 x 6 in, 55 lb

Twin XL

39 x 80 x 6 in, 61 lb

Full

54 x 75 x 6 in, 84 lb

Queen

60 x 80 x 6 in, 95 lb

King

76 x 80 x 6 in, 121 lb

California King

72 x 84 x 6 in, 121 lb

Core

Single piece of 100% organic Dunlop latex, GOLS certified

Fire barrier

Organic wool, no synthetic fire retardants

Firmness

Firm (ILD 28 to 32) or Extra Firm

Foundation

Slatted frame or foundation, off the floor, with slats 1 to 3 in apart

Made in

Washington, USA, by hand

Care

Caring for a Soaring Heart Organic Latex Mattress is easy.

Keep your mattress on a slatted bed frame off the ground.
